Terms of service
What I provide
Safari by GM provides independent safari consultation: advice, route design, destination and accommodation recommendations, and introductions to Kenyan tour operators. I am a consultant, not the operator running your safari on the ground.
Enquiries and fees
Enquiries and the first conversation are free. Paid services are priced on the site and described before you pay. This is a paid consultancy. Every service is quoted up front and payable in full before the work is delivered.
Delivery
Work begins once payment is confirmed and the questionnaire on your private order page has been submitted. Delivery timeframes are stated with each service and are counted from the point I have the information I need.
Refunds
Fees are refundable up until work has begun. Once a piece of work has been delivered the fee is not refundable, since the deliverable cannot be returned. If something is wrong with what I sent you, tell me and I will put it right.
Bookings and payments to operators
Camps, lodges, vehicles and flights are contracted between you and the operator or supplier concerned, under their own terms, cancellation policies and payment schedules. I will explain those terms before you commit, but I am not a party to them.
Travel documents and insurance
You are responsible for valid passports, the Kenyan electronic travel authorisation, any required vaccinations, and comprehensive travel insurance. I will remind you what is needed; obtaining it is yours to do.
Liability
Advice is given in good faith based on current knowledge and experience. Wildlife sightings, weather and road conditions cannot be guaranteed. My liability is limited to the fee you have paid me for the service concerned.
